The Touch of Rain

The feel and smell of something so pure. The taste and touch of the glistening rain that falls. Fills me with hope and happiness, That I need to get through the day. The fear I have, fades away. The darkness consuming my day, Is washed away with this heavenly rain. It helps my mind feel cleansed and free. Oh, this rain, that filled the sky. the clouds that hold this pure savior. Maybe the rain isn't really rain. Maybe it's God's way of showing us that everything will be okay. I hope it really is. I prayed for an answer, and this could be it. I prayed my life would be turned around, So he sent this sweet rain, to wash away all of the bad, so I'd feel okay. My heart is rejoiced, and my soul is singing. My head is full of all happy thoughts. And what caused this all was the soft touch of the April rain.

I love the rain and this poem of yours seems to capture how I sometimes view it-- wonderful and refreshing write, Kaitlyn! It sure is amazing how the rain can be so metaphorical... made me smile :)-- nikko :) btw for the poet who posted below me, for some odd reason your name doesn't also register?
