The Topsy Turvy World of Childhood

The topsy turvy world of childhood When the evening sun has drifted And is dropping out of sight The moon up in the heavens Then brings forth another night I just want to have some fun I’ve energy to spare I’ll be sent to flipping bed And I don’t want to be there When the morning sun is shining And the day has just begun The birds are singing loudly And are having lots of fun I look out of the window And I feel a lot of dread I don’t want to get up now I want to stay in bed
