I stand at my kitchen window and marvel at these little miracles of God. They delight even the dreariest of times. Thanks for your support, Connie.

Congratulations on winner. Though they do need to rest a lot in trees as they burn energy so fast. Esp. during mating when dive much faster than usual speeds to impress !

Yes, Virginia, there really is a Santa Claus! WOW, I've always wanted to say that! Don't know why. Anyway, thanks for the congrats. I watch them outside my kitchen window and marvel at their antics.

Thanks, Line! As much as I care about hummingbirds, it is nice to be able to write a simple few words about them for a contest and be chosen a winner.

Thank you, Carrie. The ones around my feeders never rest but they do in fact fight a lot. Mean little rascals, they are!

Thanks, Tania! And thanks for sponsoring such a neat contest. I am an avid hummingbird person. I hang my feeders out in early March and leave them until the end of October. They can be viewed from my kitchen window where I spend a lot of time.
