Treacherous, life at the tip of the spear. Intrepid soldiers on the battlefield exchanging fierce friendly-fire without fear. They'd rather sacrifice their lives than yield. They're willing to use themselves as a shield when in harm's way at the very front lines. Courageous, no soldier on the sidelines. This is a war they're determined to win Battle-scared, it's easy to see the signs but they fight on, taking it on the chin. Edward, you spent your time in the service, just like my husband. My husband spent 20 years in the Navy also. He was a chief engiman.

I'm not that heroic, Eve:-) I wish I were a soldier, lol. I served in the Navy so I never saw war. I'm glad you loved this poem. Have a beautiful Easter Sunday, too, my friend!
