The Tinmans Desire

The arrow that stains
the sparrows breast pierces too
the young hunters heart

proof is the sunset
that one more day I have lived
and this heart burst not

the fires of love
forge an iron prison to
cage the singing heart

one cannot fathom
the depth of a broken heart
from a safe distance

hearts pierced by arrows
understand their fate but life
pierces with sorrows
