The Time Speaks

I am the time—the eternal wonder! I witness
The furious, rampant universe,
Its explosion and implosion!
I have my own conviction,
Persuasion, temptation,
Sometimes I become despotic, agitated,
Rumbling and uncontrolled!
With all waning, dying and crumbling creatures
I sever my links, take side with the fittest who survives!
I smile with the wanton flow of river—
Its rippling, shimmering in the glowing dawn ever,

Being absorbed in happiness
I run in a spiritual trance,
The greed, lust and savagery are scared
Of me, my sympathy sparks for the painful pallid
Earth, my softness betokens a virgin’s lotus-heart.
I am immortal, imperishable, ageless,
I bloom with the fragrance!
I am a spiral smoke of incense,
The furious, violent earth I witness
In the crematorium, in the human habitations,
I’m the time –I have my own persuasion!
