The Time Between the Seasons
There were moments of youth with alabaster skin and hair down to my knees
them there were times when the mirror showed a sage woman in the breeze
Subtle soft silhouettes
pliable pleasing pretty
rosy radiant rambunctious
inviting imaginative illusive
natural nebulous nameless
good generous gentle
There was a time spring turned to summer, summer into fall then winter,
yet my moment of youth remained a treasured memory of sparkle glitter.
Weary worried wrestling
Interdependent insurmountable indolent
Nameless naturalist nearer
Telepathic transported trusting
Engaging enlisting entering
Retirement relaxing revering
There was a moment when years were many, and I breathed light and free
then as life diminished for me, I began to prepare myself for God's treasury.
