The Thrill of Performance

Do you dare to get on stage Were the people stare as you dance Its so exciting But at the same time frightening Your scared to skip a beat or slip up with your feet But your fighting your fears and following the beat Now the performance is done and your finally over Your worry if they will clap or never come back Again and again that thought runs through your mind until you finally see a little smile As the audience scream and give you bouquets You cant help but cry cause you danced good today

I mix a lot with actors and singers. Most of them admit that it's fear backstage, followed by fun once on stage and the ice is broken. Eventually it's the people's reactions that usually count. // paul

It is the fear that provides the intensity for the performance. I enjoyed your dance across the page.
