yes I guess the poem is like stitching a garment one word on stitch, one pen one needle. Like the analogy here. love phyl

For where will we all be if not for the first weavers of tales from spoken and written silk? I love this, Andrea. I certainly can say I also want this one framed and put on the wall above my desk. :)

Hello Andrea, I love the image here of stitching verses. When I read it I imagine a lady in the middle ages stitching a tapestry by light from a window. Its beauty will shine for ages, just like your poetry.

I can be such a sucker for threads, strings as metaphors, and I think it's one of the common themes in my poems....you sure weaved a beautiful poem out of the theme, Andrea-- maybe just me, but how you did this, somehow I envision it as intricate and very beautiful. Definitely a lovely poem for nette's contest!

Would that it were that easy. I keep sticking myself with that "needle". Keep stitching those beautiful phrases together.
