The Third Eye
("I of the Beholder," 2014, original pen and ink)
This world is nothing
If not an allegory
For a shimmering mirage,
A riddle wrapped in a mystery
Inside an enigma,
Reified into everything
We know and trust.
But I can assure you
When all we seas is troubled
The sanest way
To navigate
Is with both a healthy dose
Of skepticism and humor.
With these in hand
The Great Absurdity
Will thus open.
