The Thief

Remember when we took that trip
well now I'm lost in my mind
trying to think of reasons
to support deaths lie

thinking back to the day we met
a day I now so sourly regret
when I let you in for that second
I fear that it is death I beckoned

In every moment the closer he came
but I fear I was blinded by loves flame
to the extent I did not notice him invade
and his actions that night we could not evade

for he took her soul and my heart
now I am but a piece or a part
of the man that once was
for now in my mind, I'm lost
