The Tearcatcher

You cannot see me, but I am always there
Cheek to cheek I travel, all because I care
With sponges deft and purses gold
Tears of sorrow, tears of joy, my tiny parcels hold
With tears of sorrow I wash away the pain
The tears of joy I save, for you to use again
I am the tearcatcher, here for everyone
When your cheeks are dry, you know where they have gone
I have a trillion friends whose houses light the night
Patiently sitting, waiting, to help you in your plight
Keep your pillow soft so I may gently tread
My heart is always with you, sleeps inside your head
