The Tale of Miss Cherie Flambe

A starlingly, stunning woman, she!
Who, like a slinky cat, came silently
into a smoky room.
The wide-men took notice and loudly
gasped....."vava-xoom"!

I honestly don't know, what was so
special about her.
But those big floppy hats, shades and
thighs caused set mens' hearts aflutter!

I was ravenouslly jealous of her in my dull,
righteous gear.
What and why were men were forever
whispering things in her ear?

We women became utterly invisible to
our mates.
Who succumbed to her large, gold, gypsy
exotic, earrings-fate.

She was our nemesis, and created quite a
magic spell.
We murmured like jealous hens, that this
woman burn in h_ll!

CHerie Flambe married an airline pilot, has three
homes and how happy, she!
We dullard, righteous women,so happy
for Cherie Flambé.
As we were rid of her, eternally free!

Edited title originally said Kitty Jolie.

Love the name Cherie Flambe! Classic. We men can be the same way when a good-looking or rich or buff dude comes in and turns on the charm. Fun write, Panagiota.

Her friend was Kitty Jolie. That was the original name of the poem, I just felt people might think kitty referred to a cat. So, changed the name. I think this poem tells a cute story. I am not Don Rickles for heavens sake.. And never want to be a smart butted quipper flashing my humor at poets. That annoys me. Like a drunk at a party, wearing a lampshade. "The flasher poet." Hmmm idea for a poem.)) thanks for reading, commenting. Interesng share about how men feel I honestly never thought of that John! Pangie xx
