The Takers Change Christmas
There are takers, and they can ruin the season.
Teaching their children to get on all the Christmas lists.
Yelling at the do-gooders who bring toys but no receipts.
Showing the do-gooders children what appreciation does not look like.
Their children are embarrassed, realizing their mother’s behavior is unkind.
Recognizing a bully when they see one.
“Don’t bring us anything else without the receipts!” Mommy yells at the do-gooders heads
As they leave, disappointed that they brought their children to try to see what
generosity and giving is supposed to feel like.
Sadly they are leaving with a different feeling entirely.
