The Symbol

I'm just a symbol of love's devotion
And a promise eternally
I always stand out in the crowd
I'm sure you'll recognize me

No more twain, but now one flesh
Is something I stand for each day
A symbol of a lasting allegiance
And I'm always on display

A solemn promise of monogamy
And a gift of everlasting love
A symbol of undying affection
Ordained from Heaven above

For I am only a symbol
That you place on each other's hand
Wrapped in a casing of silver or gold
For I am your wedding band

You tell everything in the last four lines .. I am your wedding band. Nice expressions. Please look to the typo "siver"
