The Sweet Scent of Our Memories
Scented within the flowing breeze …
Come whispers of our memories
Which carry me through times gone by
Seem’s gone so quick,,, in flash of eye…..
The days of Our Spring… now long since past.
I fondly smile in familiar recall
The seasons passing when we shared it all
The times of laughter and at times the pain
All seen now as Journey’s gain…..
When viewed from this mind’s myopic eye.
This path we’ve walked coming to time…. of short farewell ,,,
Though I profess it …to be well..
As now you’re held within….the very hands of God.
Your spirit I feel ….still seen shining bright
Held within my heart’s memory tight…..
Though this weight of loss…
Falls heavy upon my soul.
I call out in prayer …that our savior know
My heart t’is willing…. to let you go
So you might now…..at your journey’s end
Find peace my brother…….. and loving friend.
