The Sweet Love of a Mother
You taught me sweet laws of life
to save me from sorrows and strife;
you filled my days with rainbow light:
beauty beyond borders- ever bright.
You gave me a gift of sweet glow,
your milk of love made me grow...
You gave me kisses to kill my fears
and warm hugs to tame my tears.
Of all the pleasant passions God created
there are some that can never be eroded:
my mother's timeless tenderness;
and her streams of strength and sweetness.
