The Swans

The swans

Calm, majestic
Proud and free
The white swans glide
On the inland sea.
Cob and Pen
With necks inclined
Guard their young
As food they find.
The darker cygnets
Paddle free,
Majestic creatures
Of the inland sea.

Your vivid images, May, put me there on the island sea admiring the swans.

I love this so much. I haven written many poems over the years including swans in them, but never as good as this. Such great visuals. well done. Pete.
