The Surviving Sadness

People of joy converse, In terms of best, Or worse, But I am unlike the rest. In this oblique mindset, There may be bits of joy, But they're always offset, By a surviving sadness' ploy. Twisting a knot in every plot, Tearing shreds to dreams, Of a life not, Falling apart at the seams. Maybe I was broken, Long ago, Maybe I should have spoken, Let my sadness show. A surviving sadness, Can be hard to understand, It appears endless, Impossible to disband. I fight every day, Inside my mind, Always trying a new way, To release this bind. Until then; I ask you please, Don't partake in my melancholy, See to a life of ease, Avoid folly for something jolly.
