The Sun The Moon And Us

Once in a lifetime. A moon small as a dime. Some of us stand, some learn back in a chair. The sun is gone but we don’t despair. For those of us in totality. For a moment, we escape reality. Shadows are eaten up. And gasps erupt. Then silence all at once. The moon falls from the sun. The sun and the moon. Depart a little too soon. And as they depart. They laugh with heart. For the moon and sun, it was all a prank! They are silly, but still we thank- For a moment of darkness. All a natural process. The next round may be far away… Until then we wait for the next dark day.
