The Sun and the Fog
Skies have lost the steel as colour
Here’s the brightness for the sun,
Clouds don’t crawl in their halo
Heat will come with restless fun.
But the fog above the water
covers lake as bird of woe
Like a tease without the motive
I could be the fog to go
to tease you, oh, light of summer,
Being fog to disappear
to fall down to up as drummer
to repeat it, yes, my dear.
You’re the sun, you are my brightness,
Skies have lost their lead and steel,
Heat will come like little madness,
Clouds don’t crawl above the hill.
