The Sun and Moon

A long-lasting couple a galactic spoon.
A dance of romance between the Sun and Moon.
A sky full of coverage spanning day and night.
Together they protect all with their beautiful light.

The Sun protects day with its life-giving heat.
The Moon protects night and keeps the tide up to beat.
A harmonious pair never ending it seems.
They give us their life and cast down all their dreams.

A burning ball of gas and a cold chunk of rock.
Maintain perfect harmony while watching their flock
Life would surely change without this beautiful pair.
They maintain balance with their life-giving care.

No ignorance or hate will come between these two.
They dwell up above our gracious sky of blue.
The mightiest team may they keep us from harm.
They bring elegance and love, and bless us with charm.
