The Sun
The warming sea has cloaked the land
in clouding mist and stayed the hand
of that great source of life and light
beyond the grey still burning bright.
Upon the sand I face the shore
to feel love’s warm embrace once more,
to glance it on its sapphire throne,
its presence means no more alone.
For now I share that gift to earth
bestowed upon it since its birth,
wrapped in that life enhancing grace
to feel the breath from heaven’s face.
