The Sun

it's glorious
 I think
 that blast of radiant light
 hovering in the sky
it glitters and shines so bright
the star that can hold no claim
that blinding orb in the sky
 now I know why people
tend to go to the light
It's one to be afraid of
 that flaming ball of beauty
 looks so violent now
 but glorious at dawn
I don't think that many others
 look upon the star
and thank it for the heat it shines
to get us where we are
