Notes About The Poem

The perspective of the seasons can be so confusing. It still appears to me as though the sun is moving. After all, we are the center of the universe; at least I am....LOL

The Sun

The Sun
By Franklin Price
6/21/2018

The Sun is in the center
Of our solar system space
As our Earth rotates around it
The seasons take their place

The tilt of Earth the reason
For the change in days and nights
Makes it appear the Sunrise moving
North to south and left to right

Today the Sun has traveled
To its very northern most
Hardly any nighttime
At the north pole and its post

The Earth just keeps on moving
It does not stop or stay
Another Summer Solstice
Is just one year away

I like this one, Franklin. It flows well rhymes well and celebrates the first day of summer. Great job!
