No man stands alone on game day, Tho’ each must do what he must do: Give his heart, his every effort To make one dream come true. A long sought opportunity awaits… To shine as he has never shined before, To feel the glory raining down from the stands As he looks up and sees the winning score. For that brief moment, he’ll be alone, Lost in a childhood dream, a vision; But faith and effort and Team Put him in this glorious position. Competition, arduous practice, Learning, sacrifice and dedication; Aches and pains for friends; All brought him to this situation. And each member of his winning Team Will experience this stirring moment of elation… Just before joining his fellow Champions In joyous Victory celebration. You see, a Team is most often Greater than the sum of all its parts. But Champions….such a Team is even greater Than the sum of all their Hearts.
