The day you were born
went back to the hospital
where I was forewarned
a little bit into the night
your mother, I just told
to rest her sleepy head
as I held you in the light
it's the drugs go to bed
I guess it'd be the norm
as the test-taker I am,
first as father-dad form
you're evidence I exam
I feel like your mom now
she passed you on to me ...

as those years were meant to be
forty-eight years and more, WOW,
six trailed the starter of the family.
