The Story Teller

Time’s arrow makes for loss of past, And states ‘today may be your last’, So yearning be for those before, We keep them safe in yarn and lore. The teller’s task to rob a tomb, Unearth the dead, his flesh to groom, Bring back to life, to walk and run, And live again in stories spun. They blazed the trails and laid the ground, We reap the riches that they found, And in their life and escapades, We skirt the blind of yesterday.
