The Story of the Itty-Bitty Spiders

The itty-bitty spider knew
he had to web his site.
He was in the corner of the breakfast nook.
I watched him all night.
He went up the line with such might.
The itty-bitty spider was magnified.
The web he created was in neon light.

The itty-bitty spider knew this was his life.
He went away and found him a wife.
I took care of his dwelling for three nights.
The itty-bitty spider came back excited.

The wife was the same size as he.
The itty-bitty she inspired me.
I would place food in their vicinity.
The itty-bitty spiders formed their family.

We lived together as long as I rented this place.
I swept in all places but the web must stay.

The itty-bitty spiders lived in a secluded place.
The eyes that observed them made them decoration.
The itty-bitty spiders’ lives were their salvation.
