The Story Gets Told

The Story Gets Told
By Jim Campbell

They say world
Is built with
Pain
You can’t
Move ahead in life
Without
Strife
God does not please me
If everything is given
Easily
Living within the storm
Greatness created
Life is
Born
I’m still living
Knowing nothing
About who I
Am
Haven’t the slightest idea
Where I am going
Or where my feet might
Land
My vehicle
I travel in
Is my
Skin
Sometimes so very tough
But really it’s
Thin
You have to make
Your own
Luck
Keep your eyes
On the
Dream
Don’t worry about anything
If nothing is
Happening
Life’s not over
When the fat lady
Sings
Be compelled by the sweat
That
Drenches
Keep digging those
Trenches
Carry that heavy load
keep looking ahead
For that fork
In the
Road
And
Never let your soul
Get sold
Just be that person
There talking about
When that story
Gets
Told……..
