The Storied Swing That Made Him King

The former MVP pawned his very last ring
    like the others, it had begun to sting
  Bittersweet memories of his storied swing
    that for a decade had made him King

  He'd hit home runs in every park
    high-arcing 'rainbows' his pet trademark
  Now resting quietly in a subway dark
    he rattles his cup, his rags pock-marked

Sadly these superstars do not manage their money. They find themselves destitute. Gershon this reminds me of a video instead of sports its a musician named Marvelous Malone who originally played with Santana got in trouble went to prison and became homeless. A reporter did a story on the homeless and he told the reporter he was a member of Carlo Santana band. He did not believe him when he researched it he realized he was telling the truth. This reporter than contacted Carlo Santana and informed

Marvelous Malone was convicted for manslaughter for stabbing a man. When watching the vido you see a kind and caring man.I wonder if it was self defense in his case it really doesnt add up Gershon...

Carlo gave him an envelope assuming full of money. He bought him Bongo drums he was a drummer and promised to reconnect. Marvelous had gone to prison for fifteen years. The band had to move on. When you see and hear Marvelous he is truly a saint that has been changed.
