The Stopping Clock

Tick tock tick tock
A metronome
Always the same

But the clock does and will stop
Emotion and love somehow holding the pendulum back
The gravity of a moment so important

Time itself now against itself
Time lost to time but given back in later years
Unforgotten a beautiful memory

Interesting perspective, Nigel. Time seems to stop when we're in our heydays, but it catches up with us quickly later in life. Very intriguing. Best wishes, Carolyn
