The Stones Along the Seashore

THE STONES ALONG THE SEASHORE

HAVE YOU EVER WALKED ALONG THE SEASHORE
              AND NOTICED THE CLEANSING WAVES,
WASHING GENTLY OVER EACH SMALL STONE
UNTIL IT GLEAMS WITH A GLAZE.

IT REMINDS ME OF THE BLOOD OF OUR JESUS
HOW HIS BLOOD CLEANSES US FREE.
AND HOW HE DIED ON THE CROSS OF CALVARY
FOR A SINNER LIKE YOU AND ME.

HIS BLOOD COVERED OUR GUILT AND SHAME
AND HE MADE OUR LIFES BRAND NEW,
IF IT WERE NOT FOR THE BLOOD OF JESUS
WE WOULD NEVER MAKE IT THROUGH.

SO WHEN YOU ARE STROLLING ALONG THE SHORE
WITH YOUR FEET WASHING THROUGH THE SAND,
JUST PAUSE FOR A MOMENT TO SAY THANK YOU
               ITS NOW, JESUS I UNDERSTAND.
