The Stoner

The Stoner Collaborative Contest

I was sitting on the corner, stoned
When out of the blue, my dead aunt phoned
How can this be, she rests in peace
Right beside my loving niece

I answered the phone, and my auntie said
"I know you think I am dead"
"I'm alive"-my auntie moaned
Or-could it be that you're just "stoned

Anyway, as I stared into my flower vase,
I was compelled to rest my case.
My aunt decided that she was dead.
Too much of something had entered our head.

I decided to have a life of sobriety.
It's a better way to see my family.
Now I no longer see people who are not there,
And being sober is a breath of fresh air.
