The Still of the Morning
Stilled, the morning
Sparrows chirping
Not betraying
The desperate crying
Where another side's
Struck by great fright
Of uproar might
Nature's downside
Causing damage
Spirits in daze
Shattering phase
Altering day.
While birds do sing
The coming spring
The earth blooming
The sea waving
Quietly rolls
To the black mores
As seagulls soar
And gray whales call.
Stilled the morning
Sparrows chirping
Not betraying
The desperate crying.
