The Stars In the Sky

The stars in the sky,
Tell of a reason why,
Of a story unknown,
Of a man gone long ago.
The man had a lover,
who he trusted better than any other.
But their families did not approve,
So they acted like their love was untrue.
Each night they would sneak out,
And show their love to the stars.
But one night his lover fell ill,
of a deadly chill,
And she died.
Many a nights the man cried.
Untill it was to much and the poor man dies,
And so the Legend says,
The man wonders for all eternity,
Searching for his lover,
In the skies.

Sad poem but so well executed. Happens in real life, true lovers are kept apart. Did with me as a young 18 year old and I've never forgotten that great pain! Solid 7 on this one..

Ettie, this is such a sad tale about star-crossed lovers! Hopefully, humanity will evolve to the point where people will be free to choose whom they wish to love without repercussions. Excellent write, my friend, that I enjoyed reading! A-7 and have a great weekend! Pandita
