The Star of My Confidence

i have a star
up there
'bove the hilly mountains
of my rivery lands
rains came
trudge'd my star
to no avail she budge not
oven-heated sun arose
and made weather-beat'n
my star
o, she faint not the fainting tough
so, i stood
by my star
so confident
both star and self
all day long
as i look upon
heaven at my star
and faint not the fainting tough
like star like self ...
