The Spirit of Being
Oh ghost, become one with your spirit,
For the spirit is part of its soul,
And the soul is that of its spirit;
Simplicity is held to the meaning of our confession
When mysterious a light so still
Shone ore this ghostly dawn
The rhythm of moral simplicity
Did inspirer the worth of ones life,
From the breadth of the meaning of that spirit
To the structure of the intent of its worth;
For a heart remains elusive as it beats
While unknown is the spirit of its being
Give us a framework to the course of our lives
And what lay’s in the breadth of that spirit;
Forsake the wisdom of the passage of time
For time is the spirit of the soul;
Till a ghost in the quiet of its solitude
Gave direction to the path of its spirit
