The Spirit Knows
THE SPIRIT KNOWS
I charge you, men puffed with knowledge
Who try to discern and struggle to predict
The attitude, character and true personality of God
Withdraw into your shells in shame
For how long will you guess in vain?
You who look to the skies and stars
You who look to the face and expressions
And hypnotize men to believe your lie
Withdraw into your shells in shame
For how long will you guess in vain?
How foolish is your folly o star gazer
How wrong are your judgments o palm reader
Even you, moralists who are yoked with burden
How much you fail trying to be righteous
By being moral against God’s standards.
Learn from Jonah; repent in your shells
For in God’s Word it is clearly written that
For as much as no one knows a man
Save the man’s spirit, so also no one knows God
Save God’s Spirit.
Quit your self-deception, stop deceiving men
Humble yourself at God’s feet as a child
And learn of Him who created all things
Assumptions, presumptions, carelessness and hypocrisy
These are your sins; it is time to repent.
Seek not the living among the dead
Only God knows. But if you desire to know
Free yourself from the law and submit to grace
Receive the Spirit of God and become a part of the Body of Christ
The fullness of Him that fills all in all.
