"the Sound of Silence"(Saralexripper506070)

1
Precious Carolyn my old friend
I am God come talk to you again
Because a prayer you were praying
left a seed while you were seeking
And your request that was planted
     in the name
               still remains
Within the bounds your
                            solace
                       2
In restless dreams you,
     walk along
Narrow street of
     sacred stone
Neath a halo for a meek,
     child
Need turn your collar to the,
     cold of scold
When your mind be
     stabbed by harsh of
           wicked night
                 that splits your might
                       and touch your soul in
                                solace
                      3
For in the wicked world I
      see
Your thousand rivals
      maybe more
People talking without speaking
      people hearing without listening
People writing poems
      that wisdom never shared
No minds dared
                 disturb the round of
                                 violence
                       4
LOVE, say I they do not,
                            know
Violence wills it’s cancer
                            grows
Hear my words that I,
     might teach you
Take my love that I might
      reach far
But on deaf ears my words,
      millstone falls
             and echoed
In swells of
             violence
                       5
As the wicked bow and sway
to the illusions hands have made
Agape signs flash it’s warning………………………..AA-G-Pay
in the words that it keeps forming
Agape said ‘the words of the prophets
are written in each sacred heart
At the beginning of it all
and whispers in the sounds of sol

Such a beautiful song...I almost picked it too, however, there is no way I could have written better lyrics than Simon/Garfunkel, ........or You!!! Congratulations, John!! ~ Love, Carrie

You have done an outstanding piece with one of my favorite Simon and Garfunkle songs....the words are so fitting, and I was singing each line to the most lovely music! Wonderful job, John! I think you will do well!! Love, Carrie

YOu certainly picked the right song choice for this poetic type of song. It was one of the songs I had my eye on, If I do it, I will likely take a comic approach with it. Good job, john! LUv, Andrea
