Hi Darlene, my husband taught me how to tell how close a real bad storm is - if you see lightening often and the thunder is rumbling just behind it, count, 1 and 2 and 3, and 4 and 5 and 6 as long as it takes to thunder really loud that will tell you how many kilometre or miles it is away or perhaps right on top of you. Myself I enjoy the thunder and lightning. I also love the smell of the air just before and after a storm. Great Haiku.
