The Sound of Night
When we go to sleep
The night comes alive
From the womb of the day
Here it arrives
A beautiful thing
With so much inner glow
Sometimes it's revealed
Sometimes you don't know
The animals living within
The whispers of the trees
Cooling down it's mothers heat
By giving us a chilling breeze
Hidden witin itsef
Are those mysterious music makers
With a different face in the daylight
Our beautiful music wakers
So protective of its source
Never are they revealed
Hear them with no sight
Yet you know they're real
These are the sounds
The night gives to us
But never the musicians
Showing its mistrust
