The Sound of Gravity: Rain

Softly falling is the rain. A gentle breeze In a summer of drought Whispers of the seas Clouds gossip about Water drips down my windowpane. Like Langston's lulling lines-- Fluid and flowing and full of life Through the water, sunlight shines The rain's soft song is rife Now the rain is rushing down. Rushing through the gutters And clouds block out the sun Distant thunder mutters The storm has just begun Lightning flashes and thunder crashes. Electricity pulled to the Earth And rain ever thundering down Soon you can see a flood's violent birth And the sidewalks begin to drown
