The Soul Slipper
They say
you have one life to live
and I believe that's true today
but in the in-between hours I give
I know, I haven't always got it right in how I live.
The challenges given me
forging this life along
often lay in regrets and mistakes in destiny
those things and happenings right and wrong
I cannot undo, I'm not that strong.
So I question what was
pondering all that could have been
afraid I haven't got it right and pause
asking God, please since every life is His to win
let this soul slide one more time in newer skin.
