Listen to poem:

The Solitude of the Candle

The Solitude of the Candle
David J Walker

The sweet smell of spiced
paraffin and flame

the solitude of darkness
		I am the name

I am the sound
of the moniker
and bound

To hold the meaninglessness
 of a darkness

in a
		Darkened frame

In a dark space
		In a dark place

Just beyond
		The Candles claim

And will be remembered
		So long lives

		The candle's flame

Visage by candle light enhances anyone’s appearance. Candlelit memories swirl in my thoughts as I listen this superb poem David. Thank you for beginning my day with joy. What country do you hail from? Have a great day or night. Blessings xxoo

Thank you so much, Connie. I love the singularity of one flame..and its meaning. I'm in the USA, Texas to a little more precise. Where are you?
