The Soldiers

The soldiers left
The flags did wave,
We’ve got a country
We’ll help to save.

The families stood
Till out of sight,
They knew their soldier
Had war to fight.

They leave families
Who love and wait,
Their off to battle
Don’t know their fate.

So proud of them
To serve with pride,
Their real feelings
They often hide.

It won’t be long
Till they’ll be back,
The time will pass quick
As you keep track.

So say your prayers
Safe they will be,
Returning back home
To you and me.
