The Snowflake That Saved the World

There once a snowflake that fell from the heaven above Forged of love, a kiss of God, and liberty to fly about as a dove The snowflake had a wish to save the world Thoughts raced through its core as it twirled How to save the world in such a short time? How to do away with the hate, pain, tears and crime All I am is a snowflake she cried Tears and tears as she cried Snowflake’s tears multiplied The snowflake didn’t have any idea or know what to do In time was against her and those tears as the wind blew She cried a mass of snowflakes with intent to save the world carried by her stress Until she thought why should I save the world when I didn’t create this mess? Snowflake had a point after all; she was created to look gorgeous and just freefall She wasn’t created to save the world and recall its brutal brawls Then the idea came, she would gather her army of tears with intent She would send a thousand tears to 1st bury the torment Then she would send a thousand more to cause a freeze and bring people to their knees Where they would remember that in times of need to pray for understanding, love, and appease Then she would send a thousand more to dissolve into water To quench each nations power thirst and wash away the ruthless slaughter Then she’d be the last to fall The world would look at Snowflake as the most beautiful thing of all She’d be viewed as hero with not one single mistake For the world would always remember it was saved by Snowflake

Hi James, I really liked the personification in this, I was rooting for Snowflake all the way! :) What a sweet heart this little snowflake has and how daunting the task must have appeared to her, to save a world that often doesn't even realize it needs saving. Great imagery and narrative, I enjoyed reading it. :) Love, Amy PS Thanks for your kind comments on Wind Whipser, it was appreciated. :)
