The Smiling Face of Nature
The Smiling Face of Nature
The Smiling Face of Nature
No more to wear the shadow of sin’s curse.
In the earth made new again
By the power of God’s word reversed.
Your brightest imagination
This glorious home cannot portray.
The Smiling Face of Nature—
Restored to its original perfection
For God’s redeemed in all its array.
Birds sing more majestically
Than they ever did before.
Men tend the grape vines;
Live in their own homes forever more.
The Face of Nature will be smiling
Upon all in this wonderland,
Made perfect without any sin,
By the Father’s loving hand.
The green fields and lofty trees
Are a picture perfect scene.
The old world none can remember
All’s renewed where sin had been.
The cotton wool clouds and fast running brooks
Are a delight to any grateful heart.
God’s love is imprinted everywhere
For the saved of the old world to impart.
The Face of Nature smiles
Down on all mankind.
No heartaches or trials
In this sweet place to find.
Its designer loves beauty;
Such beauty of character.
A perfect new world expressing,
The perfect, Smiling Face of Nature.
