The Sky Is Dark

The sky is dark for the sun is gone, But still my struggles are never done, Left here in the dark, feeling blindly, Groping for those who left me helplessly. When I am up high, they drag me down, Just as I thought they'd never let me drown, When I give them my trust in full value, I end up picking shattered pieces of a friendship I thought true. Why would they leave me in my most needed hour? Why should they leave when in fear I do cower? Why would they leave me when I needed them so? How could they bear to leave when I was fighting my foe?
