The Skin We Think We Own
We are all created beings from birth
made in God's image even to our skin
this skin we think we own as ours
a great mistake this shows our sin
God gave us this as all our body
out of His common grace to everyone
a great debt all owe to this God
to ignore this we've shown we are done
Now today in this modern selfish age
everyone wants to mark themselves dark
as this shows their darkened mind so clear
folly filled just like those left outside the ark
God's cry is to come in and be saved
into His kingdom where righteousness dwells anew
instead, they condemn themselves to the dark
thinking they're are skinned full of tattoos
God made man for His own glory
not to let them go the darkest way
for the Lord is light, His way is bright
give Him His place, He'll make your day
(This is written about some thoughts on the modern trend to fill one's body with tattoos, a body made by our eternal creator and heavenly father. )
